Youโ€™ve all been requesting it, so here it is... How do I run successful sales on Poshmark?

Before we get into this, I just want to put it out there, that sales typically arenโ€™t super easy to run. They arenโ€™t necessarily difficult, but it takes time. The more time you put into it, the more youโ€™ll get out of it.

This in my opinion, is a very important step. Take a look at your closet, and then decide what type of sale is best for you. This may take some trial and error, but eventually, youโ€™ll figure out whatโ€™s best for you. If you have for example, 50 listings, you may want to try putting each individual item on sale (30% off, 50% off, etc) If you have a bigger closet, you may want to try doing for example, a BOGO Sale, a 4/$25 Sale, etc. If you only have 50 listings, there wonโ€™t be much to choose from, so if you run a sale where people have to purchase multiple items, you most likely wonโ€™t see the best results. You can check out my closet here. Use my code CONNORSCLOSET_ for $5 off your first purchase!

What do I mean by this? Well, people spend more money during holidays/special occasions, so I recommend planning your sale around these times. For whatever reason, people justify spending more money during holidays. Iโ€™m not saying that you canโ€™t run sales on a random date, but I have personally made more sales during holidays, special occasions, etc.

Alright, so you decided what type of sale to run and when to run it, but now you have to get the word out. There are multiple ways to do this, but Iโ€™m going to tell you what has worked best for me. I always make a sign in my closet using an app such as Snapseed or Phonto. (Let me know if you would like to see a post explaining how to do this) Iโ€™m gonna be honest, signs donโ€™t typically help my sale much, but I like to have it at the top of my closet anyway. Now, hereโ€™s my BIGGEST tip for running a successful sale. I go onto each listing in my closet, I scroll down until I see everyone who has liked the item, then I click on each persons profile, and message them about the sale. I like to go into their empty bundle and leave a message explaining the sale. I do this on EVERY item in my closet. Yes, I send this message to EVERYONE who has ever liked any item in my closet. Now, this can take a very long time, but it is so worth it, and is what probably 95% of my sales come from. Although this can take a very long time, i do highly recommend it. (Big thanks to @madgrayhaze for recommending this to me!)

Iโ€™m sure you already know that you should be active on the app, but when I run sales, I am VERY active on the app. I am constantly sharing my closet, sharing listings from the community, following people, etc. If you donโ€™t have time for this, thatโ€™s totally fine. You should still get sales from the likers that you messaged already. I just find that when Iโ€™m active in the community and sharing my closet many times during the sale, I get more sales from random people than I would if I wasnโ€™t active in the community.

I know that this can be difficult sometimes, but make sure to have fun with it, and Do. Not. Stress. Out! If youโ€™re super stressed out about it, youโ€™re most likely going to be less successful in running your sale than if you were just having fun with it, and not worrying about whether or not your sale is going to go well. (I struggle with this)

Well, thatโ€™s all I got for now! Will you be running a sale in the future? If you already run sales, what is your biggest tip that I may not have mentioned?
